Director, Solutions Engineering

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Solutions Engineers through coaching, performance feedback, career planning, and technical and sales mentorship.
- Support strategic deals through technical discovery, solution design, demonstrations, executive engagement, prototyping, and custom integrations.
- Define and execute regional technical strategy, enablement, certification, demo practices, discovery approaches, and proof-of-concept frameworks.
- Partner with Sales leadership on forecast and pipeline reviews to ensure technical readiness and alignment.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success to advocate for customers and influence product direction.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales Engineering, or Solutions Architecture in a SaaS organization.
- 2–3+ years of experience in a people leadership role.
- Proven success in high-growth SaaS environments with experience supporting API-driven integrations and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of sales methodologies such as MEDDICC and experience partnering with Account Executives.
- Demonstrated ability to combine hands-on technical execution, consultative selling, customer advocacy, team coaching, and executive-level communication.
- Strong prioritization, project management, organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Must live in Austin, Texas, or the surrounding areas and have existing authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
