Base Salary
$168k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical strategy and delivery for complex customer AI programs across multiple workstreams.
- Design and build production-scale AI architectures, including multi-agent orchestration, enterprise retrieval systems, and decision intelligence platforms.
- Define operational standards, evaluation frameworks, testing strategies, observability standards, and incident-response playbooks for AI systems.
- Create reusable architectures, engineering patterns, accelerators, and platforms that improve delivery across the FDE practice.
- Mentor junior Forward Deployed Engineers, contribute to interviewing and hiring, and raise engineering excellence standards.
- Identify opportunities to expand customer AI adoption and communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience mentoring, serving as a technical lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Experience leading agentic and spec-driven development at production scale.
- Experience with AI tools including evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, and prompt engineering.
- Experience communicating technical concepts to senior technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience with AWS services and building or deploying AI/ML applications at enterprise production scale.
- Preferred: experience architecting complex customer production systems, leading customer-facing technical projects, or managing external stakeholders.
- Preferred: experience with React, TypeScript, Python, and/or Go.
- Preferred: 3+ years in an Agile, startup, or rapidly scaling environment, or a background as a founder, engineering lead, or startup builder.
