Responsibilities
- Analyze spacecraft engineering use cases and help build end-to-end data management software solutions.
- Develop prototype software and support projects through testing and delivery.
- Work on varied technical, project management, and communication tasks within the Database Architecture team.
- Collaborate with technical colleagues to solve complex space engineering problems.
- Maintain ethical compliance and act with integrity in support of company standards.
Requirements
- Remain an undergraduate for the full duration of the 13-month placement and provide a graduation date.
- Study toward a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Have experience with Java programming; Java 11 is preferred.
- Have experience with database technology, preferably non-relational databases such as MongoDB.
- Have knowledge of GitHub and be willing to present published GitHub work.
- Demonstrate effective listening, understanding, and communication skills and an interest in technical teamwork.
- Pass a BPSS check and potentially obtain UK SC-level security clearance or meet export-control requirements depending on the role.
