Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance application systems and programs using C++ in a Linux environment.
- Analyze and interpret code, identify system enhancements, and recommend programming solutions.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups to resolve issues and support applications.
- Install and support customer-facing systems.
- Analyze applications for vulnerabilities and security issues, and conduct testing and debugging.
- Advise or coach new and lower-level analysts.
- Identify problems, evaluate information, and implement solutions with limited direct supervision.
- Assess and escalate risk while complying with applicable laws, policies, and controls.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.
- Intermediate-level experience in an applications development role.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of C++ development and Linux environments.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or changing requirements.
