Base Salary

$134k - $220k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Create, code, and support automation for the creation, management, and destruction of infrastructure and related security components.
  • Provide services that help software development teams consume database infrastructure monitoring solutions and support their implementation.
  • Maintain product security throughout the product lifecycle by integrating new security features and updates.
  • Collaborate with product owners, technical leads, engineers, designers, and delivery professionals to define requirements, technical designs, and robust solutions.
  • Automate unit and integration tests, troubleshoot problems, and deliver additional automation capabilities.
  • Develop corporate platform standards based on cost, capability, and capacity requirements and document solutions for adoption.
  • Apply infrastructure fundamentals across cloud and on-premises databases, operating systems, networks, and communication protocols.
  • Support database activity monitoring, SOX compliance, threat analytics, SNOW and Splunk integrations, configuration compliance, vulnerability management, and CIS benchmarking.
  • Support privileged access and entitlement reporting, infrastructure health checks, patching, maintenance, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to learning, innovation, and an inclusive technical culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or experience in related fields.
  • Advanced experience or expertise in applied security, distributed systems, operating systems, databases, cloud environments, and infrastructure security.
  • Experience with IBM Guardium or Imperva DAM and vulnerability assessment; certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of DBMS and cloud databases including MSSQL, Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL, Redshift, Couchbase, MongoDB, Hadoop, Aurora PostgreSQL, Amazon DynamoDB, Document DB, RDS, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Snowflake, and Capella.
  • Programming experience with Python, Shell or PowerShell, SQL, and modern programming languages.
  • Experience with Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform, Linux or Unix administration, Docker, Kubernetes, APIs, and cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of networking, TCP/IP, communication protocols, hardware, virtual machines, hybrid cloud environments, database fundamentals, and application security.
  • Knowledge of risk management, auditing, compliance, SOX, CIS benchmarking, infrastructure and cloud security, DevSecOps, SDLC, disaster recovery, and high availability.
  • Experience with functional and nonfunctional testing, quality automation, agile development methodologies, and Test-Driven Development.
  • Ability to mentor others and demonstrate strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, business judgment, continuous learning, and inclusive leadership.
