Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and build causal inference models that quantify causal impact, optimize decision-making, and create value for users, advertisers, and the business.
- Develop and productionize causal machine learning solutions such as uplift modeling and heterogeneous treatment effect estimation.
- Design, analyze, and interpret A/B tests and quasi-experiments and collaborate on experimentation strategies.
- Evaluate tradeoffs among model complexity, bias and variance, scalability, and interpretability.
- Conduct code reviews, maintain engineering standards, and build scalable, maintainable infrastructure.
- Contribute to rapid iteration cycles while preserving methodological rigor.
- Mentor others and communicate technical insights to non-technical partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, economics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of post-bachelor’s machine learning experience with hands-on causal inference or experimentation experience, or a master’s degree plus at least 4 years of post-graduate experience, or a PhD plus at least 2 years of post-graduate experience.
- Demonstrated experience building causal models for product decision-making and policy evaluation.
- Experience designing and analyzing online experiments and applying causal machine learning in production systems.
- Strong understanding of causal inference and treatment-effect estimation methods, including meta-learners, propensity score matching, and instrumental variables.
- Proficiency in Python and common data and machine learning libraries.
- Preferred qualifications include an advanced quantitative degree, experience with CausalML, EconML, or DoWhy, production model deployment, ML or experimentation infrastructure, and knowledge of ITT, ghost ad methodologies, and frequentist versus Bayesian inference.
