Responsibilities
- Lead hands-on experimentation with AI tools, models, automation platforms, agents, and development methods.
- Translate ambiguous business needs into AI prototypes, workflows, automations, and lightweight applications.
- Partner across functions to identify AI opportunities that improve productivity, quality, knowledge access, decision-making, or employee experience.
- Guide prototype testing, feedback, iteration, evaluation, reuse, refinement, and scaling decisions.
- Create reusable AI playbooks, patterns, examples, and learning assets.
- Coach teams on use-case identification, workflow redesign, prompting, output validation, and practical AI adoption.
- Partner with Digital Technology and the AI Platform team to align prototypes with approved tools, data practices, and production pathways.
- Track business impact, adoption, capability growth, and responsible AI practices across AI Lab initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, automation, analytics engineering, AI/ML, digital product development, digital transformation, or related applied problem-solving work.
- Experience building prototypes or internal solutions using AI, automation, analytics, or data-driven technologies.
- Experience integrating workflows, systems, or data using APIs, scripts, automation tools, or similar methods.
- Practical experience with generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, or AI-assisted application development.
- Strong problem-solving skills for ambiguous and complex cross-functional challenges.
- Strong communication and influencing skills for explaining technical concepts to business users, subject matter experts, and leaders.
- Preferred experience with Python, SQL, cloud platforms, modern prototyping tools, and GCP.
- Preferred experience with n8n, BigQuery, Vertex AI, Streamlit, Tableau, GitHub, workflow automations, internal productivity tools, knowledge tools, decision-support solutions, or end-to-end AI agents.
- Experience with workshops, training, hackathons, capability-building programs, cross-functional change efforts, testing, documentation, version control, iterative release practices, responsible AI, privacy, cybersecurity, data governance, or enterprise software standards is preferred.
