Responsibilities
- Formulate business problems into practical, efficient, and scalable AI and machine learning solutions.
- Develop and deploy machine learning algorithms, models, computational systems, and scalable data pipelines for training and production.
- Customize deep learning and generative AI models for business use cases across cloud, edge-device, and high-performance computing environments.
- Research and develop AI, high-performance computing, algorithmic, modeling, and simulation approaches for complex client problems.
- Process large-scale datasets and implement data storage, retrieval, monitoring, alerting, bug-filing, and auditing mechanisms for production models.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, including users, engineers, architects, and UI designers, to integrate solutions into production.
- Communicate the business value of model approaches and deliver solutions in a client-facing consulting environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required; a related master's degree or PhD is preferred.
- Proven experience as a machine learning engineer or scientist deploying models in production at scale, including monitoring, alerting, automatic bug filing, and auditing.
- Considerable experience with computer science foundations, computer system architecture, system engineering, and programming.
- Experience with distributed computing systems and architectures, including areas such as big data, high-performance computing, engineering simulations, scientific computing, grid and cloud computing, or distributed networks.
- Experience building and deploying AI/ML-based software to a cloud environment.
- Proficiency in Python and Python-based AI/ML frameworks, with familiarity with TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Experience with LLM APIs and optimizing language-model usage for specific applications.
- Experience with Python, C++, Java, R, and SQL.
- Strong written and verbal communication, cross-functional collaboration, client-facing consulting skills, and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and interest in emerging technology and innovation are preferred.
