Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate distributed services for data center metrics, stream processing, alarm evaluation, telemetry, automated triage, and industrial device management.
- Build integrations that route alarms and tickets to operations teams with actionable context.
- Integrate Amazon Bedrock for summarization, pattern detection, and triage assistance without training models.
- Improve fleet efficiency by simplifying systems, deprecating unnecessary capabilities, and reducing cost per metric and device.
- Define infrastructure as code with AWS CDK, connect CI/CD workflows, and own deployed services in production.
- Write technical designs, conduct trade-off analysis, and contribute feedback in design reviews.
- Participate in on-call, investigate root causes, and implement permanent fixes.
- Mentor earlier-career engineers through code reviews and pairing, including responsible use of AI-assisted development tools.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred experience building or operating software for data center infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, controls, BMS, EPMS, SCADA, alarm, telemetry, or ticketing systems.
- Hands-on data center operations experience is preferred.
