Base Salary
$159k - $277k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the build, deployment, operation, and reliability of systems supporting ServiceNow Otto across SaaS environments.
- Deploy, scale, and operate distributed microservices in production Kubernetes environments, including application lifecycle, networking, security, and service reliability.
- Design infrastructure automation with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Kubernetes Operators, and other Kubernetes-native tooling.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Tekton, and ArgoCD.
- Implement observability, monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation practices.
- Architect and optimize public and private cloud infrastructure for security, scalability, cost efficiency, and operational simplicity.
- Develop infrastructure tooling and automation using Go, Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot AI-powered services, including model API integrations, observability, latency, resource utilization, and operational costs.
- Lead cross-team infrastructure initiatives and establish scalable platform engineering practices.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional experience in software engineering, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience deploying and operating containerized applications and distributed services in production.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and infrastructure automation.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, Bash, or another programming or scripting language, with experience building production-grade automation and tooling.
- Deep expertise designing, building, and operating scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing distributed-systems issues and improving performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools and safely validating, debugging, and integrating AI-generated code.
- Working knowledge of LLMs, Generative AI, and agentic AI concepts, including integration patterns and operational considerations.
- Understanding of model inference, retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling, and agentic workflows.
- Preferred qualifications include extensive experience operating Kubernetes-based SaaS platforms at scale, developing Kubernetes Operators or custom controllers, leading cross-team infrastructure initiatives, and operating LLM-powered or agentic systems in production.

- Base pay is $158,500–$277,400, plus equity when applicable, variable or incentive compensation, and benefits.
