Responsibilities
- Design, operate, and further develop OpenStack-based services on the T Cloud Public platform, particularly in the network area.
- Develop physical and virtual network architecture while taking IT security considerations into account.
- Design and develop cloud platform and software-as-a-service features.
- Plan and drive infrastructure automation using common automation frameworks.
- Work hands-on with cloud systems and consoles to support architectural decisions.
- Advise management on technology decisions and act as a trusted advisor for OpenStack-based public cloud technology.
- Collaborate with internal specialists, other Deutsche Telekom teams, and manufacturers.
- Prepare presentation materials, mentor colleagues, and support work in an agile squad.
Requirements
- Completed studies in a technical, engineering, or scientific subject, or comparable professional training.
- At least 11 years of professional IT experience focused on modern cloud technologies.
- Very good knowledge of software, cloud, and container architectures.
- Experience with infrastructure automation and in-depth knowledge of Linux, system tools, and network-related services.
- Strong customer orientation, mentoring and presentation skills, and the ability to assess technical solutions and develop creative approaches.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of OpenStack and programming experience in open-source projects are preferred.
