Base Salary
$138k - $162k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain databases supporting security platforms and analytics systems.
- Optimize database performance for high-volume log ingestion and querying.
- Support migration of security data from shared systems into enclave-specific databases.
- Implement backup, recovery, and data integrity processes in classified environments.
- Enforce database security controls, including encryption and access management.
- Collaborate with SIEM teams to ensure proper data ingestion, normalization, and retention.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- 5+ years of experience as a database engineer.
- Strong experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch).
- Experience supporting large-scale data environments (log aggregation, telemetry, event data).
- Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization.
- Experience implementing encryption at rest and in transit.
- Understanding of data retention policies and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with Linux-based database environments.
