Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Enable Google AI Edge developer tools, including AI Edge Gallery, Developer Device Platform, and AI Edge Eval.
- Train task-specific in-app AI models and support Gemma model/runtime co-design through quantization and conversion.
- Build on-device AI solutions such as voice translation and generative image editing.
- Enable developers to test, evaluate, and deploy applications and models across devices.
- Deploy key models across GPU, Pixel TPU, NPU, and CPU accelerators on Android, Chrome, and other platforms.
- Improve on-device inference performance through model presentation, runtime, and kernel optimizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of software development experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience using C++.
- At least 5 years of experience testing and launching software products and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- At least 5 years of experience leading ML design and optimizing end-to-end machine learning, including model deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging, and fine-tuning.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: 3 years of technical leadership experience leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
- Preferred: experience deploying on-device machine learning models.
Benefits
- US base salary is $207000–$300000 annually, plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
