Responsibilities
- Perform manual quality assurance testing for APIs, web applications, and client/server systems.
- Design, develop, test, and debug test cases, scripts, test plans, and test strategy documents.
- Conduct database validation and data comparison using MS SQL and SQL queries.
- Perform ETL testing, including source-to-target validation, data mapping, reconciliation, transformation validation, and backend validation.
- Test SSRS reports and verify report data against SQL queries.
- Use Azure DevOps for test case management, defect tracking, and work item updates.
- Interpret and communicate testing results and data to stakeholders.
- Manage priorities, identify issues proactively, complete action items, and deliver assigned work on time and with high quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree.
- Minimum of 6+ years of quality assurance experience.
- Strong proficiency with MS SQL and SQL queries.
- Hands-on experience with ETL testing and database validation.
- Basic to good experience testing SSRS reports.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for test management and defect tracking.
- Understanding of Agile application testing, the project life cycle, and the software testing life cycle.
- Experience with Selenium using Java and Katalon is preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare payer systems is preferred.
- Experience with AI tools, particularly GitHub Copilot, is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, ownership, prioritization, and independent-working skills.
