Base Salary
$76k - $156k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop software emulators for lunar assets.
- Perform software integration, testing, and verification for safety-critical flight software.
- Integrate and troubleshoot hardware and avionics components as needed.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and contractors across NASA programs and projects.
- Follow Johnson Space Center standard software process practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, electrical, software, computer, or systems engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
- At least three years of software development experience involving safety-critical software.
- Strong C programming skills.
- Experience with software and hardware integration for safety-critical software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with little supervision and communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Preferred qualifications include a relevant master’s degree, NASA Core Flight Software experience, embedded software development for real-time operating systems, preferably VxWorks, human-rated space vehicle experience, spacecraft communication protocol experience, automated or verification testing experience, and experience with GitLab, Git, and Jira.
