Responsibilities

  • Design and implement security frameworks, client libraries, and SDKs in multiple programming languages.
  • Build capabilities for request verification, token issuance and exchange, authentication, authorization, decision logging, policy updates, and caching.
  • Partner with engineering teams to integrate security frameworks into services and promote secure development practices.
  • Develop and maintain high-performance client SDKs with configuration updates, version releases, feature flagging, and compatibility strategies.
  • Establish SDK architecture patterns, security protocols, monitoring, telemetry, and performance metrics collection.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software development or production operations experience in a large-scale environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong programming skills in Golang and Java, with the ability and willingness to learn Swift, Rust, Python, and TypeScript.
  • Experience building and operating high-performance client SDKs and libraries.
  • Knowledge of API security, including input validation, mTLS, authentication, and authorization for RESTful and gRPC APIs.
  • Preferred experience with dependency injection, plugin systems, retry logic, error handling, cross-platform SDKs, API versioning, deprecation, and migration strategies.
  • Deep understanding of IAM concepts including RBAC, ABAC, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and policy-as-code systems such as Open Policy Agent and Rego.
  • Knowledge of secure credential storage, token refresh patterns, and defenses against CSRF, XSS, and token leakage.
  • Experience with monitoring and telemetry in client libraries, including error reporting, usage analytics, and performance metrics.
