Responsibilities

  • Define customer strategy as a key member of the Stripe account team.
  • Identify and close new complex opportunities while aligning with customer roadmaps.
  • Provide thought leadership and act as a trusted advisor for key stakeholders.
  • Understand customer business objectives and design solutions to meet their challenges.
  • Conduct business analysis and research to support user growth.
  • Lead strategy engagements and secure technical wins through presentations and workshops.
  • Expand Stripe's footprint within existing accounts and introduce new capabilities.
  • Act as the 'Voice of the Customer' to relay insights to leadership and product teams.
  • Participate in sales forecasting and account planning.
  • Travel approximately 25% to connect with users and collaborate internally.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in a customer-facing engineering role.
  • 5+ years of experience in pre-sales.
  • Experience in the payments, billing, or fintech space.
  • Strong executive engagement skills and ability to build credibility.
  • Effective group-facilitation skills for leading customer meetings.
  • Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle and API architectures.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for ownership and driving change.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
