Responsibilities
- Design and expand reusable self-service build patterns for knowledge base agents, connectors, Okta-gated web applications, and workflow automations.
- Automate repository scaffolding, CI/CD wiring, and infrastructure provisioning so builders can deploy without manual setup.
- Own the deployment pipeline for containerized applications on AWS ECS Fargate behind an Application Load Balancer.
- Write and maintain Terraform for compute, networking, and IAM in repositories separate from application code.
- Design secure connector and MCP-style integration patterns with scoped OAuth and deny-by-default access.
- Embed logging, metering, and cost tracking into every provisioned pattern and service.
- Partner with cloud operations on load balancer rules, security groups, IAM roles, DNS, and container registries.
- Review and harden builder-delivered systems for security and reliability before production release.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with meaningful hands-on cloud infrastructure and platform engineering experience.
- Strong production experience with AWS container services such as ECS/Fargate, load balancers, and IAM.
- Production experience with Terraform or another mainstream Infrastructure-as-Code tool, including separating infrastructure and application repositories.
- Experience implementing infrastructure-layer SSO/OIDC using Okta, Auth0, or an equivalent.
- Strong Python scripting ability for automation, tooling, operational scripts, and application-code review.
- Working knowledge of Docker, including image builds, multi-stage builds, and registry management.
- Experience with CloudWatch or an equivalent for logging, metrics, and alerting.
- Working knowledge of API integration patterns and OAuth scoping and enforcement.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where the platform pattern library is still being developed.
- AWS certification such as Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with MCP or similar agent-to-tool connectivity standards is a plus.
- Experience with cloud cost metering or FinOps layers is a plus.
- Platform or DevOps engineering experience supporting other engineering teams is a plus.
- Exposure to LLM-powered or agentic systems is a plus.
