Responsibilities
- Own the long-term technical strategy and product roadmap for the Internal Developer Portal.
- Architect, build, and maintain full-stack portal features, including scalable backend services and frontend workflows.
- Design developer-centric workflows for service creation, dependency mapping, service ownership, and operational dashboards.
- Implement measurement frameworks for usage metrics and platform health, and iterate using data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership and cross-functional teams to drive platform standards and adoption.
- Participate in on-call rotations, resolve operational issues, and reduce sources of toil.
- Coordinate across time zones to align projects, resolve dependencies, and ensure smooth engineering handoffs.
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional experience in high-scale production environments.
- Strong full-stack expertise with TypeScript and backend languages such as Go or Python.
- Experience modeling complex relationships in relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL and non-relational databases such as DynamoDB.
- Deep expertise in infrastructure-adjacent authentication and authorization, including OIDC and RBAC.
- Experience applying security protocols, data sovereignty, and privacy principles such as GDPR to platform architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to establish operational best practices, guide teams, and share engineering knowledge.
- Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into technical roadmaps and make build-versus-buy and prioritization decisions.
- Preferred experience building Internal Developer Portals or platform experiences and translating CI/CD workflows into self-service interfaces.
- Preferred experience with CI/CD tools such as GHA and CodeDeploy.
