Responsibilities
- Build and evolve user-facing applications for sustainability insights, portfolio steering, and emissions-related decision support.
- Develop backend services, APIs, and integrations for collecting, processing, and delivering sustainability data.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, UX Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders to create scalable digital products.
- Contribute to technical design, architecture decisions, platform evolution, and long-term product goals.
- Implement automated testing, monitoring, and continuous delivery practices.
- Improve engineering standards, reduce technical debt, and enhance platform reliability and maintainability.
- Work on data-intensive solutions, visualizations, and business workflows involving sustainability and climate-transition metrics.
- Mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and contribute to the engineering maturity of the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.
- Master's degree in a related field is advantageous.
- Extensive experience designing, developing, and maintaining modern software applications.
- Strong experience in both front-end and back-end development and in building scalable web applications and distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or other JVM-based technologies.
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks and technologies, preferably React and TypeScript.
- Experience designing and integrating APIs and service-based architectures.
- Understanding of software engineering principles, object-oriented design, design patterns, and clean code practices.
- Experience with relational databases, data-driven applications, automated testing strategies, and quality assurance practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery methodologies.
- Experience working in Agile and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder-management, ownership, and mentoring skills.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures, containerization, Kubernetes-based platforms, analytics or reporting solutions, sustainability or regulatory products, Azure DevOps, technical roadmaps, data pipelines, or large-scale data processing is advantageous.
