Responsibilities
- Contribute to the analysis, development, design, and maintenance of software products and systems under senior guidance.
- Assist with software and hardware system integration.
- Develop, validate, and test software components and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and debug basic networking and application issues as needed.
- Work with development teams across multiple design centers using Agile Scrum.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Java and its development ecosystem.
- Knowledge of web application development with Angular and JavaScript.
- Basic knowledge of analysis, unit testing, and exploratory testing.
- Understanding of object-oriented coding, software design, and design patterns.
- Knowledge of Git and Git workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering, and a Diploma of College Studies (DEC).
- Preferred knowledge of at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Preferred practical knowledge of Spring Boot, Angular, Terraform, or Kubernetes.
- Understanding of Agile Scrum and CI/CD environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug basic networking issues and knowledge of Wireshark.
- Knowledge of application-layer protocols including SIP, RTP, HTTP, SOAP/REST, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, TLS, and WebRTC.
- Familiarity with systems management, operational support, performance monitoring, modern development operations tooling, and Docker containers.
- Python scripting proficiency is an asset.
- Strong curiosity, willingness to learn, communication skills, and ability to learn quickly.
Benefits
- Target base salary range of $70,000–$90,000 CAD per year.
- Travel required under 10%.
