Base Salary
$466k - $750k/yr
Responsibilities
- Gather requirements and design and implement products that accelerate model development across Netflix ML use cases.
- Build the user interface layer, SDKs, developer frameworks, and internal tooling for the AI Platform.
- Support the full ML lifecycle from data and features through training, experiment tracking, evaluation, and production deployment.
- Engage with ML researchers, ML engineers, data scientists, and the broader ML community to gather feedback and identify platform improvements.
- Collaborate with applied researchers, data scientists, and large cross-functional teams, while contributing to open-source projects when appropriate.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of full-time software engineering or machine learning experience.
- A bachelor’s and master’s degree, or a PhD degree.
- Excellent software design and development skills in Python plus one of Scala, Java, or C++.
- Experience developing platform solutions such as SDKs, developer frameworks, or internal tooling for ML researchers, ML engineers, or data scientists.
- Experience with distributed applications and modern, large-scale ML services across the model lifecycle.
- Familiarity with ML workflow orchestration, experiment tracking, or feature and data infrastructure, ideally including Metaflow, Airflow, Kubeflow, MLflow, or similar tools.
- Broad understanding of core machine learning concepts and their use in large-scale, real-world ML systems.
- Preferred experience includes building ML models or LLMs, designing or building agentic systems, working with public clouds especially AWS, and making significant open-source contributions.
