Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with AWS CodePipeline and CodeBuild.
- Manage infrastructure using AWS CDK and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Build, manage, deploy, and debug Docker containers and ECS Fargate services.
- Support backend services including Flask APIs, workers, and scheduled tasks.
- Monitor systems with CloudWatch, Sentry, and alerting tools.
- Troubleshoot issues across APIs, databases, queues, containers, and infrastructure.
- Manage MySQL RDS databases and schema changes.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate through Git workflows, pull requests, code reviews, and branching strategies.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of professional software, DevOps, or cloud engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python scripting and production code.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, and SQL, with MySQL preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Git workflows, including branching, pull requests, and merge conflict resolution.
- Experience with AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodePipeline, Docker, ECS, RDS, and AWS CDK.
- Experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and Secrets Manager.
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code and experience with CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and command-line tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot across API, database, container, and infrastructure layers.
- Nice-to-have experience includes Flask or another Python web framework such as Django or FastAPI, Redis, SQLAlchemy or another ORM, async Python with asyncio or httpx, and AI/LLM concepts such as prompts, tokens, embeddings, and agents.
