Responsibilities
- Own technical direction and engineering outcomes for a defined Digital Identity & Fraud product, platform, or capability area.
- Design, develop, and enhance high-performance APIs and distributed platform capabilities for fraud prevention, identity verification, and account validation.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture guidance, solution design, code reviews, prototyping, issue resolution, and implementation support.
- Lead the design and evolution of cloud-native, microservices-based distributed systems and containerized solutions.
- Decompose complex initiatives into epics and executable work in partnership with architects, product owners, quality leads, and engineering teams.
- Own delivery of critical platform capabilities while mentoring engineers and supporting timely completion of work.
- Improve engineering quality, resilience, performance, observability, security, operational readiness, and reusability through shared patterns and technical standards.
- Drive AI-enabled engineering and automation practices that improve development efficiency, testing, quality, reuse, and delivery outcomes.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and communicate complex technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Significant software development and delivery experience leading complex technical work in product or platform engineering environments.
- Significant experience applying AI-enabled engineering practices in complex enterprise software environments with measurable impact on productivity, quality, or delivery.
- Deep hands-on expertise in .NET Core/C# or Java and enterprise-grade backend systems and APIs.
- Strong experience with microservices, distributed systems, cloud-native application design, software architecture, scalable system design, and engineering patterns.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, including SQL and data modeling.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and one or more of Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Ability to guide technical design, influence architecture decisions, mentor peers, work independently, and manage dynamic priorities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Preferred experience in FinTech, financial markets, fraud prevention, digital identity, or account verification.
- Preferred experience with event-driven architecture and RabbitMQ, AWS MQ, or Azure Queue.
- Familiarity with TypeScript, React, VueJS, Node.js, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or CosmosDB.
- Experience working with highly distributed, data-intensive systems at scale.
