Responsibilities
- Ensure the stability, availability, resilience, and performance of trading platforms through monitoring, observability, and operational oversight.
- Lead and contribute hands-on to production support, SRE best practices, platform reliability, and operational toil reduction.
- Provide timely user and stakeholder support, incident management, and clear communications.
- Investigate, resolve, and prevent application and infrastructure issues through root-cause analysis, postmortems, and follow-up actions.
- Drive automation, self-healing capabilities, process optimization, and other continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Partner with developers, analysts, and project teams on deployments, platform enhancements, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Act as a production gatekeeper and technical subject matter expert for trading-platform stakeholders.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in production support, SRE, or DevOps within financial services or trading environments.
- Strong technical expertise in Linux/Unix, SQL, scripting, and programming languages such as Python or Java.
- Experience with monitoring, observability, incident-management tools, platform reliability, and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of APIs, messaging technologies, distributed systems, cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.
- Understanding of trading systems and trade-lifecycle concepts.
- Strong communication, stakeholder-management, collaborative problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to lead major incident responses and drive issues through resolution in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to identify automation opportunities, reduce operational toil, and improve platform reliability and resilience.
- Ability to use AI tools responsibly to enhance productivity and solve business problems while applying critical judgment to data and AI outputs.
