Base Salary
$151k - $281k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a Hardware-in-the-Loop system using real robot hardware with production software and firmware.
- Write automated HIL tests covering integration, timing, faults, and system bring-up.
- Define pass/fail criteria, coverage requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Integrate software-in-the-loop, HIL, and hardware acceptance testing into a CI pipeline with logs, traces, and reproducible results.
- Own release-gating tests, reproduce failures that escape simulation or HIL, and close resulting coverage gaps.
Requirements
- Strong Rust skills and Python experience for test tooling and analysis.
- Experience with HIL, test rigs, or system-level verification on robots, vehicles, or similar hardware.
- Comfort working close to drivers, firmware, and hardware buses.
- Experience debugging asynchronous and concurrent systems, RPC, telemetry, and timing failures across software and firmware.
- Experience building automated test pipelines.
- Bazel experience is preferred.
- Ability to use AI agents to accelerate work while maintaining quality.
- Strong focus on repeatability, edge cases, and traceability.
