Responsibilities
- Design and develop synthetic workload queries and datasets for testing DPA-S.
- Develop tools to analyze DPA-S, Apache Spark, and deployment-environment logs for root-cause diagnosis and mitigation.
- Participate in the product support rotation by addressing or escalating customer issues.
- Conduct end-to-end product validation and collaborate on test-plan definition, review, and execution.
- Analyze validation artifacts and customer-reported issues to identify tuning opportunities, usage recommendations, and product bugs.
- Apply automation and AI techniques across product validation and product support.
- Create bug reports, RCA documents, configuration guides, and best-practice documents.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in development, validation, and support of enterprise data-processing software products.
- 4+ years of experience providing direct support to external customers.
- 4+ years of experience supporting Apache Spark pipelines for data engineering and analytics.
- Proficiency running Spark jobs from various clients, provisioning Spark resources, configuring and tuning Spark parameters, using Spark History Server and Spark UI, and analyzing Spark event logs and other Spark logs.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and Python.
- Proficiency in testing data products and test automation.
- Understanding of deployment and operations for cloud-based data-processing products and pipelines across SaaS, VM-based, container-based, and serverless scenarios.
- Experience with GCP, AWS, and Apache Spark-related cloud offerings is preferred.
- Good customer engagement and communication skills.
