- Design and build endpoint agent capabilities for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Develop production systems software using Rust, Tokio, and native operating system APIs.
- Create cross-platform components for process management, networking, filesystem access, services, and device operations.
- Build secure communication between endpoint agents and backend platform services using TLS, WebSockets, gRPC, MQTT, or similar technologies.
- Improve agent performance, concurrency, resource usage, reliability, security, and upgrade behavior.
- Own features through technical design, implementation, automated testing, release, monitoring, and production support.
- Investigate complex endpoint issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term corrective improvements.
- Participate in design and code reviews while providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience building systems software, endpoint agents, device-management software, or similar production applications using C, C++, or Rust.
- At least 2 years of production Rust experience, including asynchronous or concurrent programming with Tokio or a similar runtime.
- Experience delivering cross-platform native software across Windows, macOS, and Linux using Win32, POSIX, or native macOS APIs.
- Experience building concurrent or networked software using TLS, WebSockets, gRPC, MQTT, or similar protocols.
- Experience integrating endpoint or systems software with distributed backend services and supporting it in production.
- Preferred experience includes RMM, UEM, EDR, endpoint security, or device-management products.
- Preferred qualifications include performance-sensitive C or C++ development, AWS or cloud-connected endpoint platforms, and familiarity with TypeScript or Python.
- Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, CI/CD pipelines, or automated release workflows is preferred.
