Responsibilities
- Build and improve APIs, microservices, and frontend experiences for government agencies at scale.
- Own features end-to-end, including problem definition, implementation, launch, and production monitoring.
- Build AI-powered product features including intelligent data analysis, agent-driven workflows, AI-assisted user experiences, and workflow automation.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, and documentation.
- Write clean, documented code and review human- and AI-generated code for subtle failure modes.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, customers, and other teams to translate priorities into shipped features.
- Mentor teammates and drive team improvement through process innovation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience building scalable software in an agile environment.
- Strong experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as React and with backend development.
- Experience working across frontend, backend, and data layers while shipping features end-to-end.
- Experience building heavily utilized enterprise SaaS software.
- Active experience using AI-assisted development tools and evaluating when they are effective.
- Experience building AI-powered product features such as agents, AI-driven user experiences, workflow automation, or retrieval systems; direct ML/model training is not required.
- Experience building APIs, designing SQL and NoSQL database models, and using event-driven patterns.
- Experience working directly with customers to improve product experiences.
- A track record of experimenting with AI tools and bringing effective tools to a team.
- A track record of mentoring and process innovation.
- Previous experience in govtech, fintech, or regulated SaaS environments.
