Responsibilities
- Build and own core Dashboard infrastructure, including application shell and navigation.
- Design and implement full-stack product experiences across frontend and backend.
- Modernize the Nylas Dashboard into a cohesive control plane for developers.
- Create AI-native experiences that assist users in configuring products and debugging integrations.
- Collaborate with backend teams to design clean APIs and service boundaries.
- Drive performance optimization for fast and responsive Dashboard interactions.
- Create reusable abstractions and shared patterns for consistent product surfaces.
- Improve onboarding, activation, and product discovery across the Dashboard.
- Utilize AI-assisted tools to enhance development workflows.
- Ship incrementally using customer feedback to improve the platform.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer building user-facing products.
- Strong full-stack engineering experience, especially with React and TypeScript.
- Experience building backend APIs, services, and data models.
- A strong product mindset focused on usability and developer experience.
- Experience with complex B2B SaaS workflows or internal platforms.
- Systems thinking with a focus on reusable components and clean APIs.
- Ability to work in ambiguous product areas and clarify goals.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
- A bias toward shipping and iterating based on feedback.
- Experience using AI tools in development workflows.
