Responsibilities

Define and guide the architectural vision for complex autonomous software platforms.
Establish scalable, resilient, and maintainable system architectures.
Partner with engineering leaders, product management, and domain experts to translate strategic objectives into technical direction.
Drive architectural consistency across teams, products, and technology domains.
Lead technical design reviews and guide critical architectural decisions.
Identify and mitigate technical risks before they become operational challenges.
Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and design patterns to improve system capabilities and developer productivity.
Mentor engineers and technical leaders in architecture, system design, and engineering best practices.
Influence technical roadmaps and align investments with long-term platform strategy.

10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant system architecture and technical leadership experience.
Demonstrated experience architecting large-scale distributed software systems deployed and operated in production.
Strong expertise in software architecture, distributed systems, scalability, reliability, and performance engineering.
Strong software development background, including experience with Java and modern software development practices.
Experience influencing technical direction across multiple teams and organizational boundaries.
Experience mentoring senior engineers and technical leaders.
Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred experience with autonomous systems, robotics, industrial automation, distributed control systems, real-time software, cloud-native architectures, distributed platform design, networking, distributed application troubleshooting, or safety-critical and operationally critical environments.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
