Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead incident mitigation by coordinating service owners, facilitating decisions such as rollbacks and traffic shifts, and maintaining a reliable source of truth during incidents.
- Develop and maintain incident management processes, procedures, response tooling, education, adoption, and measurement of MTTD and MTTR improvements.
- Own company-wide incident discovery through dashboards and alerts tied to critical user journeys, availability, and business-impact metrics.
- Drive post-incident governance, including postmortems, SEV reviews, follow-up tracking, and durable reliability improvements.
- Design failure mitigation strategies, monitoring, alerting, and observability frameworks across hundreds of services and systems.
- Define the roadmap for observability across critical user journeys and provide executive-level reporting on service quality and reliability.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, hiring contributions, and cross-functional influence across engineering and business teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience operating production systems.
- 3+ years focused on reliability engineering, infrastructure, distributed systems, or production operations.
- Hands-on experience serving as an incident leader, such as an IMOC, incident commander, or primary on-call.
- Deep knowledge of systems reliability, observability frameworks, and fault-tolerant architecture design.
- Experience with multi-region or multi-cluster architectures, capacity planning, and failover strategies.
- Familiarity with modern observability stacks such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Demonstrated ability to improve MTTD, MTTR, availability, or customer impact measurably.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills during high-severity incidents.
