Base Salary
$100k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-bandwidth software control loops and advanced control algorithms, including PID control, for vehicle stability and precise maneuvers.
- Write efficient embedded software in Rust, C, or C++ to control actuators, motor drivers, and sensors via CAN bus on an RTOS.
- Integrate and fuse camera and IMU data using EKF/UKF methods on embedded platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson.
- Translate computer-vision tracking outputs into reliable motor commands for autonomous interceptor steering.
- Build and maintain Python tools for calibration, logging, and CI/CD.
- Work with robotic components including actuators, controllers, compute systems, and sensors.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of control theory, PID control, motor drivers, CAN bus, RTOS fundamentals, and robotics control performance.
- Hands-on experience building embedded robotics systems.
- Proficiency in Rust, C, or C++ for high-performance, direct hardware interaction.
- Experience with embedded platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson and camera pipelines.
- Ability to use scopes, logic analyzers, and CAN analyzers, with basic hardware rework skills.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a background check.
- Preferred: experience with ROS2, DDS, model-predictive or adaptive control, PCB design, EMC, safety-critical workflows, defense startups, or security clearances.
