Responsibilities
- Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and improve application deployments with internal IT and global teams.
- Design and implement software-defined infrastructure using Microsoft Azure standards and best practices.
- Improve site reliability and operational SLAs, including uptime, performance, time to resolution, and incident response.
- Build automation for build, release, scaling, and operational processes.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, analytics, and dashboards to improve observability and stakeholder visibility.
- Collaborate with cloud operations, information security, product engineering, architecture, and order management teams to resolve infrastructure and delivery issues.
- Understand application code, dependencies, and runtime infrastructure while supporting development teams.
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and determine suitable use cases.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience relevant to the position's capabilities.
- Intermediate experience creating and maintaining environments with Microsoft Azure services and Infrastructure as Code.
- Intermediate experience building CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
- Intermediate experience implementing observability, continuous health monitoring, alerting, analytics, and troubleshooting in 24/7 environments.
- Intermediate expertise with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps and SRE concepts, including performance, load, and security testing strategies.
- Strong scripting skills with PowerShell, Bash, or Python and experience with Git source control.
- Understanding of application architectures, design patterns, and web/mobile deployment methodologies.
- Strong debugging, risk assessment, communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills.
- Ability to work from the Carmel, Indiana office two to three times per week.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
- Preferred: Linux/Unix administration, shell scripting, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation, SonarQube, and polyglot enterprise, web, API, or IoT cloud development experience using Java, C#, or Swift.
