Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, support, and maintain enterprise applications, integrations, and data exchange solutions using jBase and related technologies.
- Support secure integration processes involving APIs, EDI, cXML, JSON, HTTPS, SFTP, and other data exchange technologies.
- Troubleshoot application, database, integration, and production support issues to maintain system stability, performance, and data integrity.
- Develop automation scripts, system utilities, and technical solutions that improve operational efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with business partners, customers, vendors, and technical teams to gather requirements, implement enhancements, and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in solution design, code reviews, testing, deployment, documentation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Lead or coordinate assigned workstreams for small to moderately complex projects while working with limited guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and relevant experience.
- At least 2 years of professional experience developing and supporting software applications.
- At least 2 years of experience working with jBase/PICK MultiValue databases.
- Experience supporting Linux/UNIX operating systems in production environments.
- Experience creating and maintaining shell scripts such as Bash, Korn, or similar scripting languages, and using AWK for file management, data manipulation, or automation.
- Experience supporting HTTPS and SFTP, with working knowledge of OAuth authentication and API security concepts.
- Experience processing, troubleshooting, or supporting EDI, cXML, JSON, or another transaction format.
- Experience using Git or another enterprise version control system and participating in software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
- Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve production support issues.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, complex formulas, and data analysis techniques.
- Preferred: 3+ years supporting ERP, procurement, supply chain, distribution, or commerce platforms.
- Preferred: Experience with REST APIs, web services, XML, middleware, enterprise integration technologies, B2B integrations, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, Docker, monitoring and logging solutions, infrastructure automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, and jBase administrative utilities.
- Preferred: Knowledge of secure application development and API security best practices.
