Base Salary

$150k - $190k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with simulation engineers, data scientists, and customers to understand engineering, physics, and manufacturing challenges.
  • Design, build, and test reliable, scalable, and deployable machine learning data pipelines.
  • Explore and manipulate 3D point-cloud and mesh data for geometry-aware modeling.
  • Own the delivery of technical workstreams and guide teams toward successful outcomes.
  • Create cloud or on-premise analytics environments and resources spanning data engineering and data science.
  • Select appropriate libraries, frameworks, and tools and make product design decisions.
  • Translate R&D and project results into reusable libraries, tooling, and products.
  • Drive reliable deployment decisions with customers and measurable outcomes.
  • Apply and improve engineering best practices and coach colleagues in their adoption.
  • Travel to customer sites internationally to collaborate on building solutions on-site.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of industry experience in a data-driven role, including commercial non-research experience post-Master's or PhD.
  • Experience applying machine learning methods, including 3D graph and point-cloud deep learning, to real-world engineering applications.
  • Experience with ML, computational statistics, or modeling use cases in industrial settings is encouraged.
  • Track record of scoping and delivering projects in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience building machine learning models and pipelines in Python using common libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow and MLflow.
  • Experience with distributed computing frameworks such as Spark and Dask.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, plus high-performance computing.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Exposure to software engineering concepts and practices including versioning, testing, CI/CD, API design, and MLOps.
  • Background in physics, engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, collaboration, and communication skills.
