Base Salary
$147k - $259k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and deploy machine learning models powering core products used by millions of Snapchatters.
- Apply modern machine learning techniques to large-scale, real-world problems.
- Own the full ML lifecycle from data analysis through production deployment.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to prototype and launch ML-driven features.
- Design and ship scalable services using AI tools and high-velocity engineering workflows while maintaining code correctness, security, and production quality.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners and provide mentorship.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of practical work experience.
- Three or more years of post-bachelor’s machine learning experience, or a master’s degree with two or more years of post-graduate machine learning experience, or a PhD in a relevant technical field.
- Experience developing machine learning models for ranking, recommendations, search, content understanding, image generation, or other relevant applications.
- Strong understanding of machine learning approaches and algorithms.
- Ability to solve open-ended, ambiguous problems and work independently.
- Preferred: advanced degree in computer science or a related field.
- Preferred: experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Caffe2, PyTorch, Spark ML, scikit-learn, or related frameworks.
- Preferred: experience with machine learning, ranking infrastructure, and system design.
- Ability to use and critically evaluate AI tools for architectural integrity, performance, and security.
