Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud storage systems for large-scale data storage and retrieval.
- Build scalable, highly available, resilient distributed systems and microservices frameworks.
- Develop testable, high-quality, production-ready code with strong test coverage.
- Translate engineering requirements into technical designs and architectural solutions with Product Management and engineering teams.
- Drive the design, implementation, testing, and release of microservices platforms across a cross-site development team.
- Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform to deploy and maintain cloud environments.
- Apply cloud security, performance, and cost-optimization best practices.
- Define technical architecture and cloud strategies with cross-functional teams.
- Participate in on-call rotations and improve system reliability and incident response.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on software development experience in an object-oriented language such as C#, C++, or Java.
- 5+ years of experience with cloud deployment and configuration tools using scripting and configuration platforms.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable storage systems using cloud storage solutions such as Blob, NoSQL, and Managed Redis.
- Hands-on experience with system architecture, API design, and distributed systems.
- Experience managing infrastructure as code with Terraform.
- Experience participating in an on-call rotation.
- Preferred experience with storage technologies across Azure, GCP, and AWS.
- Preferred experience working on platform teams building cross-cloud technologies.
