Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security-focused infrastructure that protects TextNow services while supporting reliability and scalability.
- Develop security automation and infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform, Ansible, CrowdStrike, and AWS security tools.
- Participate in on-call rotations, respond to security incidents, investigate vulnerabilities, and implement remediation measures.
- Implement security monitoring, logging, alerting, and anomaly-detection capabilities.
- Manage IAM roles, permissions, and policies to enforce least-privilege access across cloud and internal systems.
- Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and compliance teams to embed security practices into the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines.
- Conduct security assessments, threat modeling, risk assessments, automated security scanning, and system hardening.
- Promote security awareness and continuous security improvement across the organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Security Operations, Site Reliability Engineering, or DevSecOps.
- Proficiency with AWS security services, GitHub security controls, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Experience handling security incidents, analyzing threats, and implementing remediation strategies.
- Strong background in logging, monitoring, anomaly detection, SIEMs, intrusion detection systems, and cloud-native security solutions.
- Experience integrating security best practices into the SDLC, including static and dynamic code analysis.
- Experience with CI/CD security, security policies, threat modeling, and risk assessments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, DevOps, and compliance teams.
