Responsibilities
- Build and maintain production-quality software for mission-oriented analysis, simulation, and decision support.
- Translate algorithms, models, and research prototypes into usable software applications.
- Improve software quality through design, readable code, testing, documentation, and maintainable engineering practices.
- Build responsive and intuitive frontends for complex data and workflows.
- Contribute across concept exploration, prototyping, implementation, testing, demonstration, deployment, and sustainment.
- Collaborate with researchers, engineers, multidisciplinary teams, and end users.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, applied mathematics, engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
- Experience with object-oriented design and Java, C++, Rust, or comparable programming languages.
- Experience creating backend software and/or APIs in production or prototype environments.
- Strong engineering fundamentals, technical judgment, and collaboration skills.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to access classified information are required.
- Active SECRET security clearance is desired.
- Desired qualifications include high-performance multithreaded software, defense or national security experience, TypeScript, React, 3D or geospatial visualization, distributed systems, AI/ML-enabled applications, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
