Base Salary
$129k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop Java software for the Regional Applications/Battle Management Sensor Resource Management team.
- Translate requirements into architecturally compliant allocations and complete design packages addressing mandated system qualities.
- Develop, review, and baseline system requirements, architectural decompositions, and engineering estimates.
- Lead or perform analyses of alternatives, trade studies, and design evaluations.
- Serve as a technical liaison to Missile Defense Agency working-level counterparts.
- Participate in iteration planning, review boards, governance activities, and architecture education.
- Mentor junior systems engineering staff and promote testable, traceable, maintainable designs.
- Support periodic travel to program review sites and local Colorado Springs activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related STEM field with 8 years of experience, or a master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 4 years of relevant experience.
- Current, active, in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret clearance at application, with eligibility to be read on to SCI clearance.
- Willingness to travel 10% of the time.
- Practical federal acquisition expertise, including FAR execution, requirements decomposition, design-pattern adherence, artifacts, implementation, and approval.
- Expertise in analysis of alternatives, trade studies, and design evaluations.
- Command-and-control systems architecture, integration, and operation knowledge; space and missile-defense knowledge is desired.
- Experience with mission-critical architecture, sensor fusion, weapon-system interfaces, cybersecurity concepts, and network architecture.
- Preferred experience includes Java or other object-oriented languages, OOD/OOA deliverables, MBSE, virtualization, containerization, cloud computing principles, and sensor-data processing.
