Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Perform testing on legacy IRS systems and newly developed modernized systems.
- Conduct end-to-end testing of paper scanning solutions for image and data capture.
- Perform integration and system testing of scanning solution software.
- Analyze existing and new functionality, requirements, design documentation, and testing scripts.
- Create, maintain, and execute test scripts and test data.
- Create and manage defect reports and document test results.
- Verify test-script pass/fail outcomes through log-file review.
- Provide test status reports and lead test team tasks in small groups.
- Use Rational Suite and Microsoft Suite tools.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in testing roles.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred; additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
- Experience with software data-entry and data-capture testing, client-server installations and testing, integration and system testing, and test-plan or test-case data creation and review.
- Experience verifying test-script results through log files, analyzing requirements and design documentation, and maintaining requirements verification traceability.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an IRS Minimum Background Investigation clearance before starting.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident with Green Card status for at least 3 years, have resided in the U.S. for 3 of the last 5 years, and be Federal Tax compliant.
- Preferred experience includes testing IRS ISRP or SCRIPS systems, scanning and document-processing solutions, software installation validation, OCR image-capture verification, batch-process testing, and client-server environments.
- Preferred knowledge includes Windows, Unix/Linux, and experience with Waterfall and Agile lifecycle methodologies.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, operate with ambiguity, and increase software-domain knowledge.
