Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Scope and deliver well-defined software features and components end-to-end with minimal guidance.
- Build Catalyst capabilities across agent interfaces, customer integrations, scheduling and optimization, data management, APIs, or operations infrastructure depending on team placement.
- Write clean, maintainable code; follow architectural patterns; identify dependencies; and communicate blockers.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and collaboration with scientists, operators, and cross-functional partners.
- Write unit and integration tests, address bugs, and build logging, error handling, and observability into shipped software.
- Develop expertise in the assigned technical domain and contribute mentorship over time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Some professional software development experience with team-owned production codebases, including experience from internships, academic research, or full-time employment.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with version control using Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to reason about code across multiple files and components.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Preferred experience includes laboratory automation, robotics, scientific instrumentation, agentic systems, LLM-backed applications, scheduling or optimization, hardware communication, low-level systems programming, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, REST API design, TypeScript, React, and specialized device software libraries such as HL8, Terapagos, and Stratum v2.
