Responsibilities
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient embedded software code.
- Develop unit tests, investigate issues, and resolve software defects.
- Support the full software development lifecycle, including requirements management, development, testing, DevOps infrastructure, compliance reviews, and delivery.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to understand requirements and deliver features.
- Create technical documentation for code, designs, and test cases.
- Participate in peer code reviews and share technical knowledge.
- Investigate and support internal and external customers with software issues and defects.
- Stay current with industry trends and apply new knowledge to improve product quality and development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Advanced knowledge or experience with embedded systems, electronics, and microcontrollers required.
- 10+ years of embedded software development experience preferred.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in embedded C/C++ preferred.
- Familiarity with Linux and containerized environments preferred.
- Basic knowledge of microservices-based architecture preferred.
- Exposure to test automation and continuous integration pipelines preferred.
- Familiarity with responsible use of GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot preferred.
