Base Salary
$210k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set the technical direction for the Data Integrations platform.
- Own the architecture of systems that move data through the platform.
- Anticipate scaling and reliability challenges and address them proactively.
- Establish observability and operational readiness standards.
- Collaborate with platform and product teams to protect sensitive data.
- Manage complex, cross-system initiatives from architecture to production.
- Make pragmatic decisions balancing security, reliability, and speed.
- Mentor Senior and Staff engineers and conduct architecture reviews.
- Identify and resolve systemic risks in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience at a Staff-equivalent level.
- Deep experience in building and operating distributed systems at scale.
- Strong judgment in data-layer and concurrency issues.
- Production experience with GCP and container orchestration technologies.
- Fluency in a modern backend language, preferably Python.
- Ability to translate business goals into technical direction.
- A history of mentoring and leveling up engineers.
