Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate scalable, secure, and resilient cloud services, platforms, and applications on Microsoft Azure.
- Lead architecture and technical design for distributed systems and AI-powered business solutions.
- Build AI-powered applications, copilots, agents, intelligent workflows, retrieval systems, and evaluation capabilities.
- Architect modern data platforms, unified data models, semantic models, and AI-ready data foundations.
- Drive end-to-end delivery, including implementation, deployment, monitoring, incident response, and long-term operations.
- Develop clean, maintainable, secure, and well-tested software using C#, Python, SQL, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, establish engineering standards, and influence technical direction across teams.
- Partner with product managers, architects, business stakeholders, customer-facing teams, Applied Scientists, and Data Science teams.
- Champion AI adoption and contribute to Microsoft’s AI-native engineering transformation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field and 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience designing and building scalable cloud-native applications and services.
- Strong proficiency in one or more modern programming languages, including C#, Python, or TypeScript.
- Experience building and operating production services on Microsoft Azure or equivalent cloud platforms.
- Experience driving technical design, implementation, deployment, and live-site operations for production systems.
- Experience with distributed systems, APIs, microservices, and large-scale data platforms.
- Preferred experience with AI-native solutions, copilots, agents, retrieval systems, LLM applications, autonomous workflows, and agentic orchestration.
- Preferred experience with Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI services, Semantic Kernel, LangChain, MCP, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Lakehouse architectures, Power BI semantic models, and enterprise analytics platforms.
- Preferred familiarity with Responsible AI, model evaluation, AI governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
- Preferred experience leading cross-team engineering initiatives and influencing technical direction across organizations.
