Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and test embedded software.
- Perform manual and automated verification of software functionality.
- Test software for compliance with technical specifications.
- Document implemented software solutions.
- Debug and troubleshoot embedded system issues.
- Apply functional and object-oriented programming practices in Linux-based systems.
- Improve software quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with Customer Support to investigate and resolve field issues.
Requirements
- Academic degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable field.
- Strong Linux shell skills and programming experience in Rust and/or C/C++.
- Experience with software debugging tools and methods such as GDB, code inspection, and logging.
- Experience with Git version control and Embedded Linux.
- Ability to work collaboratively with strong communication skills in German and English.
- Independent working style with personal responsibility and initiative.
- Preferred experience with Yocto build systems, Linux kernel driver development, real-time applications, inter-process communication mechanisms, and optical networking technologies.
