Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, development, integration, and operation of secure, scalable AI platforms, enterprise applications, backend services, and APIs.
- Drive technical delivery across multiple teams by clarifying requirements, evaluating tradeoffs, resolving dependencies, and removing technical blockers.
- Design and implement AI control plane and data plane services, Codex integrations, memory capabilities, model routing, AI plugins, skills, GPT integrations, MCP servers, and enterprise AI workflows.
- Guide the integration of AI models with enterprise applications, data sources, and services, including authentication, authorization, and access controls.
- Establish engineering practices for AI development tools, generated-code validation, software quality, automated testing, and AI evaluation.
- Lead architecture and code reviews, complex implementations, debugging, performance optimization, and engineer mentorship.
- Define runtime, middleware, and API standards for interoperability, versioning, compatibility, deprecation, safe rollout, and multi-tenant scale.
- Drive observability, service-level objectives, capacity planning, resilience, incident response, and operational improvements across AI workloads.
- Design AI usage telemetry, cost attribution, forecasting, token budgets, threshold alerts, reporting, model selection controls, caching, and context optimization patterns.
- Create architectural guidance, migration plans, and adoption playbooks for shared AI capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Technology or another bachelor’s degree in a listed technical field or related field.
- At least 7 years of software development experience.
- At least 7 years designing and delivering scalable distributed systems, backend services, APIs, developer platforms, or cloud services.
- At least 7 years developing or operating applications on cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- At least 7 years of programming experience in one or more languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Go.
- At least 7 years of experience with relational or NoSQL databases, including data modeling, querying, and backend integration.
- Experience leading technical design and delivery across teams, reviewing architecture, and mentoring engineers.
- Experience with API design and integration, automated testing, secure coding, complex debugging, and performance optimization.
- Experience operating production services with observability, logging, monitoring, incident response, service reliability, and capacity planning.
- Experience collaborating with engineering, architecture, security, product, and business stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with AI-enabled applications, generative AI platforms, developer tools, enterprise productivity solutions, Codex or similar AI coding tools, LLM application patterns, RAG, agents, memory, evaluations, model routing, MCP servers and tools, AI governance, AI security and privacy, model-access controls, and AI cost optimization.
