Responsibilities
- Architect and implement large language model strategies, neural-network structures, and model parameters for project goals.
- Formulate business problems into scalable AI and machine learning solutions and deploy models in production.
- Develop scalable data pipelines, storage and retrieval systems, and cloud-based architectures for model training and evaluation.
- Customize and apply deep learning, generative AI, and LLM models for enterprise use cases, including edge-device and high-performance-computing scenarios.
- Implement production monitoring, alerting, automatic bug filing, auditing, and reliability practices for deployed models.
- Research and develop AI, high-performance-computing, simulation, and computational algorithms for complex client problems.
- Collaborate with clients, business owners, engineers, architects, designers, and other teams to integrate solutions into production.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert, make team and cross-team decisions, lead architectural efforts, and mentor team members.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 15 years of full-time education is required.
- At least 5 years of experience as a machine learning engineer or scientist deploying models in production at scale.
- At least 5 years of experience applying computer science foundations, computer architecture, systems engineering, and programming.
- At least 3 years of experience with distributed computing systems and architectures, including potentially big data, HPC, scientific computing, grid or cloud computing, and distributed networks.
- At least 2 years of experience building and deploying AI/ML software in a cloud environment.
- Proficiency in Python and Python-based AI/ML frameworks, with familiarity with TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Experience with LLM APIs and optimizing their use for specific applications.
- Experience with Python, C++, Java, R, and SQL.
- Experience designing scalable data architectures and using data integration, transformation, storage, retrieval, and optimization techniques for large-scale machine learning workloads.
- Strong written and verbal communication, client-facing consulting skills, cross-functional collaboration, and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A master’s degree or PhD in a related field such as computer science or engineering is preferred.
