Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable large language model and neural network architectures for natural language processing.
- Develop, customize, deploy, monitor, and maintain AI/ML, deep learning, generative AI, and LLM solutions in production.
- Build scalable data pipelines and storage and retrieval mechanisms to support model training and production.
- Work with large-scale datasets, data preprocessing, parameter tuning, and model performance optimization.
- Research and develop AI, machine learning, high-performance computing, and simulation algorithms for complex business problems.
- Collaborate with business, technical, engineering, architecture, design, and client teams to integrate solutions into production.
- Lead team development, make technical decisions, provide solutions across teams, and mentor colleagues.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts and communicate the value and technical concepts of model approaches to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum 7.5 years of experience is required, including experience with Google Cloud Data Services.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required; a master's or PhD in a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience as a machine learning engineer or scientist deploying models in production at scale, including monitoring, alerting, automatic bug filing, and auditing.
- At least 5 years of experience applying computer science foundations in computer architecture, systems engineering, and programming.
- At least 3 years of experience with distributed computing systems and architecture, including big data, high-performance computing, scientific computing, grid or cloud computing, or distributed networks.
- At least 2 years of experience building and deploying AI/ML software to a cloud environment.
- Proficiency in Python and Python-based AI/ML frameworks, with experience using TensorFlow or PyTorch preferred.
- Experience with language model APIs and optimizing their use for specific applications.
- Experience with Python, C++, Java, R, and SQL.
- Strong expertise in neural network architecture design and optimization for natural language processing.
- Strong client-facing, written and verbal communication, cross-functional collaboration, and consulting skills.
